Figurative Language Crossed the Road

As part of our poetry study, we looked to make some amusing sentences to demonstrate our understanding of figurative language. Here are some examples:

Maria

Annie Alliteration aimlessly ambled across an amazing alliterated A road.

Maisie

As bright as a red balloon, the simile ran across the road.

Bella

The rhyme took a lot of time to cross the road.

Leia

Bang! The onomatopoeia crashed into the sentence behind him.

Kai

Personification glared at Mr. Noun.

Ezmee

The hyperbole took hours to cross the road!
