This week, while some children are away on a residential trip, those of us staying in school are enriching our knowledge and understanding of World War II.
Welcome to the Year Six website. On this website, we will be sharing examples of our children's work. This page is a workshop containing examples of learning in action. The work will not be the children's 'final draft’.

6MR reading with 4CH
Throughout the year, children in 6MR have been helping children in 4CH with their reading.
Every Friday afternoon, the Year 6 children will listen to the Year 4 children read their AR books and ask them questions to check their understanding of plot, characters and vocabulary.
It has been lovely to see them coach the younger children and pass on their skills!

100WC Week #33 'Dinner Party!' by Natalie
I was hosting a lovely dinner party that I invited my best friends to. There was a super scallop starter, a mouth-watering meat main course and a delicious doughnut dessert. When my friends arrived I offered them an outstanding drink and a place at my terrific table. One of my friends wore her favourite hat and she took it off and put it on the table. When my mum came in with the scrumptious starter she asked me why was the hat on the table? I told her that is was my friends hat and the dinner party carried on.

100WC Week #33 'The Hat' by Tash
Yesterday morning, I woke up to my super annoying alarm clock that goes, BEEP BEEP BEEP! Rather groggily, I stumbled out of bed while trying to find my clothes to get ready for another dreadful day of school. Some people get out of bed wide awake; most people want to get back in again. Frustratingly, I always have to go to that prison-like place so I ambled down the stairs and went into the colourful kitchen. Then I saw it. A strange scarlet hat. Why was that hat on the table?
