The science of snow

As snowflakes fell on Friday, some pupils in Year Six took part in a Science lesson about snow. They found out about the process of how a snowflake is formed, watched a slow-motion video of this and learnt the chemical structure of snow. 

After they had learnt all of this information, they ventured to the Year Six creativity board to write down what they had learnt. 

The pupils were also encouraged to tap into their creativity by writing a poem about snowflakes, some fantastic examples are below:

Writers in Year 6

Before half term, Year Six were writing non-chronological reports about their chosen animal or sport. The end product? A plethora of wonderfully informative and interesting reports. Below are just a few of the excellent examples:
