Year Six End of Key Stage Tests Briefing

Year Six welcomed over 100 parents and children in to school on yesterday to find out more about the Key Stage Two tests that the children will take in May next year.

Everyone had a chance to meet the Year Six teachers and discuss preparations and resources for the tests as well as take home some example questions and booklets.

Lots of great questions were asked and we hope that it was a really useful time for parents and children to find out more.

If you do have any more questions or concerns please just get in touch via the school office.

Year Six Trip to Legoland Windsor

As part of the introduction to the Design Technology project on programming model fairground rides, Year Six enjoyed a fantastic day trip to Legoland Windsor today.
As well as being great fun, the visit allowed all the children to research more about fairground rides and take part in a workshop session led by Legoland staff.  This session introduced Year Six to the ‘WeDo’ Lego software that we will use in school when designing, making and controlling our own fairground rides.
Highlights of the day included making a model lion from Lego that could move, roar and snore, visiting the amazing Lego Mini-land and experiencing lots of the exhilarating rides first hand!
A big thank you to all of the adults who gave up their time on what was a long day – but definitely worth it!  Thank you.
