Bhangra dancing

This half term, 6CC are learning dances from around the world as part of their Indoor PE unit.

Today they travelled to India and learnt Bhangra! After learning a few moves, they created their own short routines inspired by the style of Bhangra. Below are some photographs of their performances.

Where will they travel to next week?

Be an author week

Harry Potters, Gangsta Grannies and Unicorns - just some of the many characters that have been roaming the classrooms of Year Six today. And not to forget the rather large Mr Men and Little Miss characters who could be seen sidling around!

Not only was today about dressing up as a book character, it was also about sharing some of the excellent stories that our Year Six children have been busy writing this week. We don't like to make things easy in Year Six, so our theme this year was to write a story about inanimate objects coming to life. Think talking trees, courageous crayons and annoyed atlases. Below are two of the stories that were shared in our Year Six assembly: Katie's first draft and Sophia's final version. We hope you enjoy reading them!

Dancing in 6CC

This half term, 6CC had the privilege of working with Hunts School Sports Partnership on their dance unit.

Using the theme of 'bullying', 6CC learnt a short motif and worked in groups to adapt this, following a particular choreographic device (unison, canon, changing the order or changing the levels).

These are videos of 6CC's final performances. We hope you enjoy watching them.
